The position is full-time academic year, limited to 07/01/2023 with anticipated renewal.

The Graduate School of Library and Information Studies in the Harrington School of Communication and Media at the University of Rhode Island is hiring a Lecturer specializing in Library and Information Studies, beginning in Fall, 2022. This position is a full-time, non-tenure-track, academic year appointment through June 2023 with the possibility of renewal, annually, based on performance and the availability of funding.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Teach 18-24 credit hours per academic year, to include a minimum of two core courses (LSC 502, 504, 505, 508, 595) plus electives in the GSLIS curriculum and advising, all online in the URI Online accelerated calendar; Lecturers are expected to participate in department service activities as they pertain to their normal instructional responsibilities.
